This collection is composed of 44 colorized, color, and black-and-white postcards from 1906-2000 depicting Sam Houston Normal Institute, Sam Houston State Teachers College, and Sam Houston State University.

Biographical / Historical
The Ruth and Ron Blatchley Bell Tower, or the Blatchley Bell Tower, was constructed in 2005 and dedicated on October 8, 2005. The Blatchley's were named Distinguished Alumni in 2006.
Every hour music plays on the bells, such as classical, folk, seasonal songs, SHSU's Alma Mater, or the Bearkat Fight Song.

The postcard is a color photograph of the Ruth and Ron Blatchley Bell Tower. "Sam Houston State University" is in orange text, and the "SH" logo is in white and orange in the top-right corner of the front of the postcard.
The postcard was never used.
