From the Collection:

The Wilson Scrapbook and Materials Collection is comprised of a scrapbook, a box of glass slides, and a box of printed material related to the Wilson family of Walker County, Texas.

Box 1 contains a 16 page scrapbook consisting of photographs, newspaper articles, and cards. Box 2 contains four photographic glass slides and one glass slide fragment. Box 3 is comprised of seventeen stickers, five cards, four invitations, four tags, three newspaper articles, two programs and a piece of program ephemera, two v-mail envelopes, a newsletter, and a postcard.

Mary Elizabeth Wilson's father was S.C. Wilson, who was a professor at Sam Houston State Teachers College. His father was J.R. Wilson, Sr..

Page 13 contains 1 newspaper aticle, "Wilson-Echols Wedding Friday," which discusses the wedding of Edna Wilson and James Leon Echols at First Methodist Church in Huntsville, TX. The article also mentions the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and attendees from out of town.

Page 14 contains a newspaper photograph and caption, a newspaper article, and two paper hearts. The newspaper photograph depicts Mary Elizabeth Wilson. The caption states she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Wilson (professor at SHSTC) and is engaged to Arthur Lyttleton Lott. Their engagement was announced at the social center of Sam Houston State Teachers College. It also mentions her wedding will take place at her parent's home on October 11th.

The newspaper article, from the "Society," is titled "Announcement is made at Charming Tea."

The page additions contains two paper hearts, which open onto four lines of text in silver ink. The first line of text is "Elizabeth Wilson," the second line is "Arthur Lyttleton Lott," the third line is "October 11th", and the fourth line is "1934".
