This collection is composed of photocopied materials with a few originals concerning Charles Pebworth's art career. The materials consist of newspaper articles, exhibit materials, postcards, pamphlets, awards, and letters donated by Charles and Nona Pebworth.

Biographical / Historical

The "Pyramids to Totems: Sculpture by Charles Pebworth" exhibit was displayed in The Nave Museum, Victoria, Texas, from November 10, 1993, to January 16, 1994. A special preview of the exhibit for the members of the museum was on November 10, 1993, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, with an artist lecture from 7:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

The exhibition was sponsored by Ronald B. Walker & Associates and the Victoria Regional Museum Association. Funding for the exhibition was from the Texas Commission on the Arts.

Physical Description

Newspaper Article: The black and white newspaper article photocopy "Pebworth Exhibit Opens At Nave" was published in the Revista de Victoria in December 1993. The newspaper article provides a photograph of Charles Pebworth with his sculpture "Pyramid Art." The article discusses his exhibit "Pyramids to Totems," his inspiration for the exhibit, and the importance of art in a national field.

Exhibit Poster: The exhibit poster for the "Pyramids and Totems" exhibit is a colored scanned and printed copy on two sheets. There is a brown background with a photograph of Charles Pebworth. The text on the poster is black and dark brown.

Exhibit Checklist: The exhibit checklist is a black-and-white photocopy. The checklist provides forty-two works of Charles Pebworth within the "Pyramids and Totems" exhibit.

Sculpture Photographs: There are four scanned and printed color photographs of Charles Pebworth's sculptures from the "Pyramids and Totems" exhibit on one sheet.

Mail-in Promotional Card: The mail-in promotional card has "Pyramids to Totems: Sculpture of Charles Pebworth" in the white vertical text on the side of the promotional card with one of the pyramid sculptures in the center.
