"Victory How Women Won It A Centennial Symposium 1840-1940" was written by The National American Woman Suffrage Association and was published in 1940 by The H.W. Wilson Company. The photocopy consists of three pages: the title page and two pages, 92 and 93, from the book. The excerpt mentions a case brought up against Chicago election commissioners for allowing women to vote on a local issue. Although the local court ruled in favor of the commissioners, the opposition brought it to the Illinois Supreme Court. The article also mentions the General Federation of Women's Clubs celebrating their biennial convention in Chicago. Anna J. Hardwicke Pennybacker was the president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs during this convention.
"S.H.S.T.C" (Sam Houston State Teacher's College) "Library" is stamped on the front of the photocopy.
