Sam Houston Ephemera Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection is comprised of materials related to General Sam Houston. The clippings mainly represent the celebration of his legacy. Biographical materials, correspondence and manuscript materials also contain material from and by General Sam Houston. There are photos of Sam Houston's law office, his old home and monument. Plays that portray different aspects of the life of Sam Houston are also a part of this collection. This collection was accumulated by former librarians in the Thomason Room.

The General Sam Houston Ephemera collection contains correspondence, biographical data, photos, and other materials relating to General Sam Houston. The collection is arranged by subject and housed in two (2) archival boxes and is located on the University Special Collection’s Manuscript shelves. The items in this collection range from the 1820s to the early 1990s.
