Walker County Cultural Resources Collection
Scope and Contents
The Walker County Cultural Resources Collection includes a photocopy of The Walker County Cultural Resources Inventory. The Walker County Historical Commission holds the original Walker County Cultural Resources Inventory. The inventory was prepared for and financed by The Houston-Galveston Area Council and The Texas Historical Commission Annual Program Grant of the Office of Archeology and Historic Preservation Heritage Conservation and Recreation Service, Department of the Interior. The inventory was prepared by Ellen Beasley, Preservation Planning Consultant. The collection also contains correspondence between James Patton and Ellen Beasley concerning the project. Linda Pease was the Cultural Resources Coordinator for Huntsville, Texas. For more information see Historic Resources Survey of Huntsville, Texas call number F394.H85 H37 1993.
