Alma E. Anders Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection is comprised of two paper diplomas and two original hard fabric covers for the diplomas, one pair from 1946 and the other from 1950. They were awarded to Alma Eunice Anders, a Sam Houston State Teachers College alumni and teacher in the Huntsville public school system, for the completion of her Bachelor of Science program and Master of Arts program.

Biographical / Historical
Alma Eunice Anders was born on February 15, 1903 in Huntsville, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College (SHSTC) with a Bachelor of Sciences in 1946 and went on to get a Master of Arts from SHSTC in 1950. She was a teacher for the Huntsville Independent School District, the public school district of Huntsville, TX. On August 1st, 1968 she married Otha Frank Keefer and became Alma Keefer. She died on October 10th, 1979 at the age of seventy-six.
Her great-nephew Brandon Cooper was Director of Student Activities of Sam Houston State University from 2016 to 2022.
