The collection consists of black-and-white photographs of the Psychology Department faculty, students, offices, and classrooms, donated to the University Archives by the estate of Dr. Stanley Thomas Kordinak.

Biographical / Historical
Dr. Stanley Thomas Kordinak, born in Johnson City, NY on March 29, 1944, completed his Bachelor of Art from Iowa Wesleyan College, his Master of Art from Drake University, and his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Kordinak accepted a position with Sam Houston State University's newly established Department of Psychology in 1970, serving the university for 45 years. His research interests ranged from personality assessment, psychometrics theory, and behavior theory.
Dr. Kordinak was active in the Huntsville community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Tri-County MHMR, elected to the Huntsville Hospital District, acted as consultant for the establishment of Spring Shadows Glen Psychiatric Hospital, and President of both the Gibbs and Mance Park PTA's, along with many other smaller community roles.
Dr. Stanley Thomas Kordinak died on March 3, 2015, at the age of 71.
