Biographical / Historical

Walker County, Texas was originally part of Montgomery County. Walker County was established in April 1846 by the First Legislature of Texas, then a new state. Huntsville was chosen as the seat. The cities of Walker County are Huntsville, New Waverly, Riverside, and Dodge.
