The Samuel T. Burns Slavery and Civil War documents (1839-1864; 1folder) is made up of a membership application for the Daughters of the Republic of Texas for Mrs. Daisy Cowart, a descendant of Samuel T.Burns. The documents also include correspondence materials on the San Jacinto Museum of History Association. There are also several clippings from local newspapers. Bills of sale account for some slave bought by Samuel T. Burns.

The Kittrell Journal Collection includes copies of the Kittrell Journal. Within these journals, Pleasant Williams Kittrell documented his interactions with patients of his medical practice.
