From the Collection:

The majority of this collection contains materials from the Sam Houston State University KSHU Radio Station. Other materials include a Sam Houston State College Homecoming football program, Delta Zeta photocopied articles, an Alpha Phi Sigma certificate, paper materials from Sam Houston State University (event tickets and the College of Arts and Media magazine), and materials about the City of Huntsville.

Biographical / Historical

The Art Complex is a four-story, 71,500-square-foot building that houses the university's visual arts programs and includes a gallery space, classrooms, seminar rooms, faculty offices, and various art studios. The Art Complex opened in the Fall of 2019 and was given the name the Dana G. Hoyt Fine Arts Building in the Fall of 2022.

Dr. Dana Gibson Hoyt was SHSU's President from 2010-2022 and was the university's first female president. Before she became the university's president, she served as the university's vice president for finance and operations since April 2009. She oversaw the construction of the Art Complex as well as many other construction projects though her most notable accomplishment was establishing the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the first medical program in the Texas State University Systems.

1 Volumes (Within a separate folder from folder 5 due to its size.) : 1st edition of the College of Arts and Media Magazine. The magazine provides several color photographs and information dealing with the college.
