Physical Description
Folder 2 is composed of one information sheet and two black and white group photographs (same image, reproductions) that were enhanced by Margaret Percival's niece using Photoshop. The original photograph had the names of the young women written on the back.
The black and white photographs have four young men in the background standing and five young women in the foreground sitting. One of the young women is holding a ukulele, and one is holding a bouquet. These nine individuals were students at Sam Houston Normal Institute, class of 1897.
The information sheet provides the names of the young women (left to right: unknown, Leonora, Jessie McFarland, Beulah Hudson, ad Daisy Thorne). The young men names are unknown. The sheet also provides excerpts from Jessie McFarland's March 28, 1897, letter to her mother. This letter type-up is within folder 1 (folder 1, 2nd entry within ArchivesSpace).
General
One of the black and white photographs was in a frame with the information sheet on the back. The photograph and information sheet have been taken out of the frame to conserve them better.
