This collection is composed of two boxes containing materials from the Philomathean Literary Society (Philos) and the Eclectic Society Club, Sam Houston State Teachers College event and football programs, and a SHSTC freshman "T" beanie.
The materials in this collection were orginally part of a scrapbook. The materials are now separated from their original source.

The football program is the SHSTC Bearkats vs Sul Ross at Pritchett Field on October 16, 1951.
The program is black with black text. The cover design has a colored drawing of a football player running with the football. In the background are white stars and a blue, white, and red ribbon. The program provides a white and black group photograph of the team, brief information about each SHSTC football player, team rosters of SHSTC and Sul Ross, the SHSTC fight song and school song, and advertisements.
