This collection is composed of four viewbooks - three from Sam Houston Normal Institute and one from Sam Houston State Teachers College. The viewbooks provide black-and-white photographs and written information about SHNI/SHSTC.

Physical Description
The Sam Houston Normal Institute view book has sixteen pages of black and white photographs showcasing SHNI and its students. Underneath each photograph is a caption about the club or activity and a listing of classes in the featured buildings of the booklet.
The booklet also provides written information about courses from the Department of Teacher Training in Vocational Agriculture, facts about the Institue, and a list of accomplished ex-students.
The title of this viewbook is "Sam Houston Normal College," but this was never an official title of the school.
