This collection is composed of a reproduced photogrpah, typed letters between Margaret Percival and Barbara Kievit-Mason, a type-up of Jessie McFarland's letter, typed biograohical information about Jessie McFarland by Margaret Percival, and newspaper article clippings about Sam Houston State Teachers College.

Scope and Contents The May Benson Lyle Scrapbook contains Fifty-six (front and back) unnumbered pages with forty-nine black and white photographs (one each on the front and back covers of the scrapbook) recording May Benson Lyle's time as a student at Sam Houston Normal Institute from 1905-1908. This collection is comprised of 21 pages of scrapbook material, six Sam Houston State Teachers College (SHSTC) event programs, two pages of sheet music, a 1986 Bearkat Football Magazine, a poster, a framed photograph, and a lithograph of Old Main.

The scrapbook materials are composed of newspaper article clippings, programs, photographs, and correspondences relating to the 1980 Ex-Lettermen Association Hall of Honor Induction Banquet.
