Scope and Contents
This collection is composed of thirty-two photograph reprints done by Weston McCoy for the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association for their contribution to the Centennial Memorabilia Collection celebrating SHSU's 100 years.
These reprints feature the early days of SHSU when it was Sam Houston Normal Institute and Sam Houston State Teachers College.

Physical Description
The black and white photograph reprint is of a group of Sam Houston Normal students. In the background is the original front entrance of the Texas State Penitentiary Huntsville Unit, known as the Walls Unit. The photograph was taken on April 13, 1903.
On the back of the reprint are four white labels with the names of the individuals in the photo and the date in black typed text.
The reprint is taped to an illustration board from the Crescent Cardboard Company.
