Physical Description

This correspondence is addressed to Dr. Louis Joughin, Staff Associate, American Association of University Professors from Kendall P. Cochran, Professor of Economics.

Kendall P. Cochran writes Dr. Louis Joughin to urge the American Association of University Professors to conduct an investigation immediately over Rupert C. Koeninger's case of tenure at Sam Houston State Teachers College. Cochran writes the investigation may have already stared, but to her knowledge it has not and mentions that time is running out.

Cochran provides facts about Koeninger's situation. Cochran personally request that a representative of stature and prestige from the association meet with President Lowman, of Sam Houston State Teachers College and with the Board of Regents as soon as possible. Cochran mentions she talked with Koeninger on April 7th where he stated there had been no contact from the association, and request the association send one immediately if that is the case.

Cochran mentions she enclosed a list of the Board of Regents members. She writes that Ramsey is very opposed to Koeninger where the other members are neutral or in favor of keeping Keoninger at Sam Houston.
