This correspondence is addressed to Professor Rupert Koeninger, Department of Sociology, Sam houston State Teachers College from Gideon Sjoberg, Secretary-Treasurer, Southwestern Sociological Society.
Gideo Sjoberg writes Rueprt Koeninger mentioning the Southwestern Sociological Society passed an unanimous resolution at their annual meeting in Dallas on April 20-21, 1962.
The resolution mentions Koeninger's contributions to the field of sociology and his good character. The resolution indicates the Society is behind Koeninger, for Sjoberg writes they regret the situation that arose affecting Keoninger's academic freedom and tenure, which in turn poses a threat to the profession.
