Biographical / Historical
The 486th Bombardment Group operated during World War II as an Eighth Air Force heavy bombardment unit. Stationed in Sudbury, Sudfolk, England, the group operated against strategic objectives in Germany until May 1945, having flown a total of 188 missions and losing 33 aircrafts.
