The Crown Collection of Maps

The Crown Collection is an oft-cited but difficult-to-find compilation of historical maps of the United States. Series I-III contain colonial-period maps in British archives, and Series IV-V contain Archer Hulbert’s tracings of nineteenth-century trails in the American West.

Mitchell was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1900 and passed away after a car accident in 1949.
