Scope and Contents

The Pennsylvania Mathematics Textbook Collection contains textbooks created by the International Correspondence Schools in Scranton, Pennsylvania to teach Mathematics. Each folder contains a single textbook. There are 15 textbooks in the collection.

Scope and Contents The Powell Family Papers (1910 - 2007; .5 box) include family correspondence, newspaper clippings,biographical information, Sam Houston State Teachers College materials, and documents concerning the Powell family of Huntsville. The correspondence in the collection is between SHSTC (Harry Estill and others) and Mrs. Ben H. Powell. The Texas Educators Scrapbook Collection is made up of clippings from different Texas newspapers regarding college presidents and professors. Most of these clippings are highlighting various achievements, while others are announcing inaugurations of presidents of several Texas universities.

Scope and Contents The Van Horn and Culberson County Materials (1978-2003; three folders) contains correspondence that is primarily between community officials of Van Horn and Culberson County and their residents. One letter is from the First Baptist Church to Mrs. Vernon Schuder inviting her to participate in the choir for the Van Horn Frontier Day worship service.
