The materials within this collection feature Valine Hobbs' career as a professor and author. Scope and Contents The Van Horn and Culberson County Materials (1978-2003; three folders) contains correspondence that is primarily between community officials of Van Horn and Culberson County and their residents. One letter is from the First Baptist Church to Mrs. Vernon Schuder inviting her to participate in the choir for the Van Horn Frontier Day worship service.
