Physical Description

The black and white, rectangular photograph is of Sam Houston Normal Institute students sitting down for Christmas Dinner in the Baldwin House. On the bottom left corner of the photograph handwritten in black ink is "Baldwin House -" and in the bottom right corner of the photograph handwritten in black ink is "-1899".

The photograph is mounted on a grey, rectangular mount with cut edges. The mount has 2 punched holes on its left and 2 punched holes on its right. On the top of the mount handwritten in black ink is "Only one vacation day for Christmas - 1899-." On the bottom of the mount handwritten in black ink is "Contented students at Christmas dinner-." In the bottom right corner of the mount is "#39" handwritten in black ink.

On the back of the mount handwritten in cursive and pencil is "Contented SHNI students at Christmas Dinner, Baldwin House, 1899- Only one day vacation ? at that time".
