Physical Description
This correspondence is addressed to President Richard Ballinger, Texas Association of College Teachers, Texas A & M from Elton Abernathy, Chairman, Texas Association of College Teachers.
Elton Abernathy writes President Richard Ballinger mentioning the Professional Standards Committee will send one or two members to make an investigation concerning Rupert C. Koeninger's termination by the Board of Regents.
Abernathy states Corwin Johnson of the University of Texas Law School has agreed to serve and Johnson believes he can get Dr. Edmund Heinsohm to serve as well. Abernathy mentions neither Johnson or Heinsohm will be chairman but both will be a part of the team for the investigation. Abernathy states Judge James Hart has agreed to counsel with Johnson and Heinsolm after the investigation.
Abernathy says he has enclosed a copy of a letter to Dr. Lowman to provide assistance.
Abernathy mentions it may not be possible for Johnson and Heinsohm to help with the reconciliation because the problem is between Koeninger and the Board of Regents and not the adminstration. He believes though reconciliation can be done only if the Board of Regents can be contacted in a group.
