News of the Nation Newspaper Collection
The News of the Nation Newspaper Collection (circa 1945, one box) consists of 30 individual newspapers that were originally printed as a series to describe major historical events in United States history. The collection was donated by Aaron Wise.
Newspaper Collection
The Newspaper Collection consists mainly of Texas newspapers as well as several titles from other states.Also represented are Centennial and Civil War Newspapers. The Newspaper collection includes both original and copied versions.
Plaskett Newspaper Collection
This collection contains a partial edition of the “Houston Chronicle” newspaper.
Pleasant Gray Family Papers
The Gray Family Papers (1835 - 2016; .5 box) include biographical information, newspaper clippings,land title documents, and other material concerning the Gray family of Huntsville. The collection also contains the Pleasant Gray Family Bible loan agreement form between the city of Huntsville and the Newton Gresham Library. Additional information on the Holshouser family was added to the collection in 2016.

President John F. Kennedy Assassination Ephemera Collection
The collection is primarily composed of Newspapers and Magazines relating to President John. F.Kennedy’s assassination. There are some publications that focus on Jacqueline Kennedy, Kennedy children and family, and Lee Harvey Oswald.

The scrapbook, complied by Sam Houston Normal Institute and Sam Houston State Teachers College faculty member Augusta Lawrence, is comprised of 117 pages of newspaper clippings, photographs, and printed materials covering faculty changes, community deaths, notable events, and ex-student/alumni and faculty/staff accomplishments from 1929-1940.
