Van Deavender Civil War Memoir Collection

Scope and Contents

The memoir was written by Van Deavender, the grandfather of Sylvan Cohen of Huntsville, Texas. The original Civil War memoir was given to Sam Houston State University by Sylvan Cohen in 1984. The memoir was transcribed by Charles Dwyer.
