This collection is comprised of 21 pages of scrapbook material, six Sam Houston State Teachers College (SHSTC) event programs, two pages of sheet music, a 1986 Bearkat Football Magazine, a poster, a framed photograph, and a lithograph of Old Main.

The scrapbook contains newspaper article clippings, programs, photographs, and correspondences relating to the 1980 Ex-Lettermen Association Hall of Honor Induction Banquet.

Biographical / Historical

1958 marked the seventh year of the SHSTC Pioneer Roundup. The first event was held on March 20-21, 1952, as part of Western Week. It lasted from March 17-21. Pioneer Roundup was composed of several shows hosted by clubs and societies from the college.

Physical Description

The cover of the Sam Houston State Teachers College (SHSTC) Pioneer Roundup Souvenir Program is white and features a sketch of a tree in black with an orange sign nailed to it. The sign has a sketch of a cowgirl and cowboy on a horse and the dates of the Pioneer Roundup. The program provides the history of the Pioneer Roundup, a photograph and some members of the Pioneer Roundup Association, a photograph of the 1957 Raven Ball and the 1957 Roundup Queen, and a list of societies and clubs that were a part of the Pioneer Roundup.
