Alma E. Anders Collection

Scope and Contents

The collection is comprised of two paper diplomas and two original hard fabric covers for the diplomas, one pair from 1946 and the other from 1950. They were awarded to Alma Eunice Anders, a Sam Houston State Teachers College alumni and teacher in the Huntsville public school system, for the completion of her Bachelor of Science program and Master of Arts program.

The majority of this collection contains materials from the Sam Houston State University KSHU Radio Station. Other materials include a Sam Houston State College Homecoming football program, Delta Zeta photocopied articles, an Alpha Phi Sigma certificate, paper materials from Sam Houston State University (event tickets and the College of Arts and Media magazine), and materials about the City of Huntsville.

This collection is composed of a Sam Houston Normal Institue 1910 Alcalde, a Sam Houston State University 100-year celebration of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences postcard invitation, newspaper clippings of a poem and an Ella Smither Geriatric Center advertisement.

The paper materials within this collection were found in the Alcalde upon donation.

This collection is comprised of 21 pages of scrapbook material, six Sam Houston State Teachers College (SHSTC) event programs, two pages of sheet music, a 1986 Bearkat Football Magazine, a poster, a framed photograph, and a lithograph of Old Main.

The scrapbook materials are composed of newspaper article clippings, programs, photographs, and correspondences relating to the 1980 Ex-Lettermen Association Hall of Honor Induction Banquet.
