SHSU Centennial Memorabilia Photograph Prints
This collection is composed of thirty-two photograph reprints done by Weston McCoy for the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association for their contribution to the Centennial Memorabilia Collection celebrating SHSU's 100 years.
These reprints feature the early days of SHSU when it was Sam Houston Normal Institute and Sam Houston State Teachers College.
SHSU Pebworth Collection
This collection is composed mainly of exhibit materials from the 1960s - 2000s. The collection also houses biographical materials about Charles and Nona Pebworth and newspaper and magazine articles.
SHSU Presidents-Thomason Materials
This collection contains correspondence between various parties, including past presidents of Sam Houston State University (and prior names), librarians, and Mrs. John W. Thomason. The correspondence focuses on materials donated to Sam Houston State University’s rare books room. The rare books room is currently named for John W. Thomason, Jr. and houses the Sam Houston State University Special Collections.
SHSU View Book Collection
This collection is composed of four viewbooks - three from Sam Houston Normal Institute and one from Sam Houston State Teachers College. The viewbooks provide black-and-white photographs and written information about SHNI/SHSTC.
Sierra Leone Police Training School Manual
The Sierra Leone Police Training School Manual contains regulations and guidelines for trainee Police officers. The Police Training School Manual contains handwritten notes by Joseph Josie, the original owner of the manual. Dr. Sam S. Souryal retired from Sam Houston State University in 2014 and the Sierra Leone Police Training School Manual was part of his personal rare book collection which he left to the University.

This collection contains press printings, catalogues, magazines, and an insert with Paul Culp notes.
Southland Paper Mills, Inc. Photograph Collection
This is a single item collection containing one photograph of the Southland Paper Mills, Inc. plant in Lufkin, Texas.
Spring Hill Store Daily Ledger Collection
The Spring Hill Store Daily Ledge was used to record store transactions from 1839 through 1941. The ledger is unbound. The pages of the ledger have been conserved. Donated by Dr. James Long, Biology Department, Sam Houston State Teacher’s College (SHSU).
S.R. Warner Collection
This collections is comprised of personal photographs, a Sam Houston Normal Institute panoramic class photograph, a newspaper article clipping, SHNI Manual Training Building postcard, a report on plant foods for quail in Southeast Texas, two German language related books, and S.R. Warner's diploma and license of instruction from the College of William and Mary.
Stanley Thomas Kordinak Collection
The collection consists of black-and-white photographs of the Psychology Department faculty, students, offices, and classrooms, donated to the University Archives by the estate of Dr. Stanley Thomas Kordinak.
