Scrapbook contains 187 newspaper clippings, 63 photographs, 10 personnel/address cards, 9 hometown news releases, 8 postcards, 7 letters, 6 full-page periodicals, 2 graduation invitations, 1 graduation name card insert, 1 daily schedule report, 1 aviation cadet biography, and 1 birth announcement. The materials span from January 1942- July 1945 and focus on Sam Houston State Teachers College ex-students/alumni, faculty, and community members who fought in World War II.
SHSU Centennial Memorabilia Photograph Prints
This collection is composed of thirty-two photograph reprints done by Weston McCoy for the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association for their contribution to the Centennial Memorabilia Collection celebrating SHSU's 100 years.
These reprints feature the early days of SHSU when it was Sam Houston Normal Institute and Sam Houston State Teachers College.

SHSU Presidents-Thomason Materials
This collection contains correspondence between various parties, including past presidents of Sam Houston State University (and prior names), librarians, and Mrs. John W. Thomason. The correspondence focuses on materials donated to Sam Houston State University’s rare books room. The rare books room is currently named for John W. Thomason, Jr. and houses the Sam Houston State University Special Collections.

Sierra Leone Police Training School Manual
The Sierra Leone Police Training School Manual contains regulations and guidelines for trainee Police officers. The Police Training School Manual contains handwritten notes by Joseph Josie, the original owner of the manual. Dr. Sam S. Souryal retired from Sam Houston State University in 2014 and the Sierra Leone Police Training School Manual was part of his personal rare book collection which he left to the University.
